Installing Arla on MacOS X

My earlier comment about the --prefix config argument appears to be
wrong, or at least incomplete. I know I saw some -D arguments scroll
by during the build that referenced /usr/athena or /usr/arla that
shouldn't. On the other hand a make install seems to do the right
thing.
I built arla from
ftp://ftp.stacken.kth.se/pub/arla/snap/arla-0.35.4pre1.tar.gz. with
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-krb4=/usr/local --without-krb5
Now I'm to the point that the kth-krb stuff and arla-cli both seem to
work. But when I try to load the kernel module this happens.
root# kmodload -v -o /var/tmp/symbols /usr/local/bin/xfs_mod.o
kld(): Undefined symbols:
_old_setgroups_func
kmodload: allocated 73728 bytes in kernel space at 0x b4a8000
kmodload: Returning load address of 0xb4a8d74
kmodload: kld_load() failed.
kmodload: freeing 73728 bytes in kernel space at 0xb4a8000
I tried rebooting and that made no difference.
It's definitely strange being able to cd into my private directory on
a Mac and see everything. Just a little more. . .
Thanks for all the wonderful work guys.
