YES  This is the idea for our users to connect to their files under afs
linux system from cern.

I did several times what is written in INSTALL file.
Now I followed your instructions and under a different user-ID then root I
ran:

/usr/arla/bin/startarla   and what I get is:

/usr/arla/bin/xfs.o:create_module:Operation not permitted
mount:only root can do that.

I tried startarla like root and nothing happend after I got back the
prompt.
Running once again startarla I got the following messages:
mount:arla already mounted or /afs busy
mount:according to mtab,arla is already mounted on /afs 

but under /afs I don't have anything.
How shall I run arlad to get /afs/XXXXX   filesystems from users from cern
?
