arla 0.28 cwd problem

But there's no directory `p' there?

I'm not able to reproduce your problem on FreeBSD 3.3.

1. What shell are you using?  Also try /bin/pwd to make sure you get
   the command and not the shell-internal version.
2. Can you run ktrace on both the shell while doing pwd and on
   `/bin/pwd' and send me the result?
