arla 0.28 cwd problem

Hi,

I've just installed 0.28 on a FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE box, and arla seems
to have trouble keeping track of the current directory:

reunion[129] cd p
reunion[130] pwd
pwd: .: No such file or directory
reunion[131] cd ..
reunion[132] pwd
/afs/informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/pu/src/build/gpc-19990118
reunion[133] cd p
p: No such file or directory.

I've generated arladebug=almost-all, but don't really know what to
look for in all this output.  Let me know if I should send it
separately.
