problem arla/jaguar to openafs

My file included these lines:
 >eas.muohio.edu		#MU SEAS
134.53.130.224                      #easnas01.eas.muohio.edu
134.53.131.115                      #easlnx01.eas.muohio.edu

But nothing in DNS. Is there any way to debug and see what call might 
be failing to help determine my problem? I did a cookie-cutter install 
of OpenAFS -- is there anything that should be enabled to help it work?
