OpenAFS, Arla, and Apache

Welp; I'm trying to figure out which piece of software is having the 
problem.  I use OpenAFS as a server on a FreeBSD 4.6.2 box running Arla 
0.35.8.  On another machine, I run Arla and Apache 2.0.42.  Apache 
2.0.40 worked alright with files on AFS, just not images.  Now, Apache 
2.0.42 gives out randomness for *every* file.  Has anyone else 
experienced similar problems?  Are there any work arounds short of not 
using AFS?  Thanks in advance.
