This is a bug. I will look at it. We are trying to get 0.35.7 out, and
I will try to fix this for that release.

What lines are there in /etc/krb.conf for ENGIN.UMICH.EDU?

The real mount point for afs is in the root directory. It is also
displayed in the Finder's fake root. Probably, Apple wants to have
mount points in /Volume, but since /afs is the proper place, I must
mount it there.
I don't know why they display it as an alias, since it's not.
