Cannot write files

That kernel is broken, try another one (other Redhat kernels have been
reported to work). We have not debugged why that kernel is broken.
Redhat has a kernel update named 2.4.3-12 which might work better, but
we have not tested that. 

All 2.4.0 to 2.4.5 kernels I have tried which are _not_ distributed by
Redhat worked for me. 2.4.9 works, too, Love tells me.
