Assar have fixed this problem and pulled it upto the 0.35 branch.  There is
a snapshot 0.34.3pre2 (ftp://ftp.stacken.kth.se/pub/arla/snap) that should
contain a fix for this.

There is a fix for arla on
<http://www.sinenomine.net/downloads/openafs-build.html> that might make it
work on Linux S/390.
