AFS syscall on solaris 8

Since both 105 and 73 are taken on a standard psoriasis 8 box I
was wondering if a "standard" has evolved for solaris 8? A related
question is if anyone knows a good way to set AFS_SYSCALL=xfs 
so that even init sees it -- that way I don't have to fiddle with
every config file in the system ;-)
