The Arla home page says:

Can the CVS tree be accessed without using AFS, for those of us who
haven't gotten Arla to work yet because we need assar's patches which (I
suppose) are in CVS?
  I'll try to check it out via stacken, and then pack it up and ftp it,
but it seems like a nuisance.
