I got the snapshot you created for me (thanks) as I couldn't get
through the firewall.
I am not very strong in ssh/cvs but I managed to checkout (and still
can) wine (windows emulator). I have access to a machine (SunOS) that
is not behind the firewall, which makes it possible. This is what I do
(my i386 is overmind, SunOS is aegir).
checkout:
overmind: ssh -L 2401:cvs.winehq.com:2401 aegir
overmind: export CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs at localhost:/home/wine
overmind: cvs login (passwd=cvs)
overmind: cvs co wine
update:
overmind: ssh -L 2401:cvs.winehq.com:2401 aegir
overmind: cvs update
This, however, wont work for arla, maybe because it requires no
passwd. Hmm, just checking with netstat and port 514 (shell) is used,
but not having root access on aegir (SunOS), not port lower than 1024
can be looped.
I am checking to see if I can find a way (hey, its fun!) ;-)
