Is Arla free for accessing IBM AFS servers?

Its a mind-share/sea-change thing, and those take time. Many smaller, unix-based
companies are caught in the spiral death-trap:  decling sales -->  higher prices
--> fewer sales --> even higher prices to stay profitable.  Its very scary to be
in charge of such a company, knowing your gonna be bankrupt in a 3-4 years.
Most such CEO's opted to switch to NT in the mid-90's, some to tough it out w/
unix.   No one is slashing prices in hopes of increasing volume, no one beleives
the unix market will grow in response to lowered prices (noone == traditional
unix shops).  Linux is providing a mass market for the first time, but many/most
haven't figured this out yet, are not yet breathing easy, haven't yet taken the
deep breath, the sigh of releif.  Many unfortunately still feel threatened by
Linux and things like arla ...
