unresolved Linux kernel symbols when loading xfs.o

I'm using a 2.0.33 kernel on sparc which i built from source (it has heavy
modifications for things like halt power-off and audio) and an xfs module built
on the same machine; It has the same problem, *but* the module loads and works
fine, without complaint. I never did track the problem.
