arlad dumps core under load

This has been submitted to NetBSD as pr #33354[1] but lha at kth.se  
suggested i report it to arla-drinkers as well.

I am running NetBSD 3.0 on a sun ultra 10.  When arlad is placed  
under load, say md5'ing an ISO image, it dumps core.

I am compiling arlad with debug symbols right now, but the last  
backtrace was:
