update on 0.40 on 10.3.9

Having "Show object properties" or whatever it is in English (it's "visa
info om objekt" in Swedish) ticked on in Finder is really slow (it is equal
to recursive ls -l, methinks); the reason for my hangs, most likely.
Unchecked, the Finder is snappier than I can remember from previous
releases for /afs accesses.
