Yes, both ways.  If I su, the environment (and thus, the tkt file) is 
inherited.  If su -l, or login directly as root, I klog.  I did a little 
playing around, and it does seem to work if I run chown myself, but 
doesn't work in the automated ports system.  I'll have to check up and 
see what it's actually doing.
