For some reason, when I'm root, chown doesn't work correctly with AFS; I get "chown: Operation permitted". Any idea why this would be? It works fine as my normal user, it seems, but not as root. Any ideas? -- #linux: the reason why *BSD doesn't have a GUI install system.
