xfs unresolved symbols

I guess that your big number of unresolved symbols is due to
inconsistencies in your kernel install. Make sure that configure finds
the include files which correspond to you kernel version. The xfs.o
for smp and uniprocesser differ, it is for example not trivial to
build a smp xfs.o on an uniprocessor or the other way around. The
easiest way is to build on an identical configured machine than the
one you want to run on later. This is because of /boot/kernel.h which
is included from somewhere and makes things "interresting". Next thing
to look at is your output from configure.
