I think I see the same thing. I have two ideas that I do not know if
they are correct or not.

1) I have a large latency. (ping times are > 500msec) and arla doesn't
   wait long enough for server answers

My ping is around 20-30 ms for the servers (LAN), so I dont think that
applies to me

2) There is no routing of the traffic between me and the AFS server.

Then, how would I be able to ping it?
