bash-2.03$ cp gvimrc ../../.gvimrc
cp: ../../.gvimrc: Permission denied
bash-2.03$ cd ../..
bash-2.03$ cp afs/public/gvimrc .gvimrc
bash-2.03$ 


afs is a symlink to /afs/clarkson.edu/users/c/o/cohentl
