Does it fail with:

klog: Unable to authenticate to Kerberos: Retry count exceeded (send_to_kdc)

?

Have you added your db servers to your /etc/krb.conf?  As in something
like this:

MY.CELL         db1.my.cell
MY.CELL         db2.my.cell
MY.CEL          db3.my.cell

?
