Compile errors on 0.27 and libgetcwd

Having some compile problems with 0.27.  Also I have noticed that the
libgetcwd for 0.26 causes problems with other apps, like Star Office,
and Quake3.  They preload the lib and segfalt.  When I remove the
ld.so.preload the problem goes away.

Here's the compile error:
