arla on Linux SMP

Hi all,   
        I now have arla 0.9 working basically fine on a single processor 
linux 2.0.34 box (very nice), however, on a dual processor system 
there seems to be problems with authentication, in particular

klist -T   sometimes shows a token and sometimes not

is the xfs module known not to be SMP safe?
